Patience isn't passive.
It requires intention, effort and perseverance.
It challenges you, as in a certain degree you have to give up control and surrender.
Even when you don't want to.
It's a temporary stop, with no deadline and always in due date.
But if you choose patience, it might reward you in surprising ways.
It might strengthen your discipline. It might teach you about the ebb and flow of life, where movement, action and growth are followed up by stagnation, inertia and stillness.
It can teach you to wait and waiting is an art if done right.
Most importantly, patience can give you time. The time to carefully consider and respond in a way that feels grounded.
It gives you choice.
Planting a seed and watching it grow is patience in action. Seeing the harvest even before it takes roots.
Patience isn't passive.
If you let it, it can be the soil for your growth.
